Kipper Tool
Company (KTC) is an American Woman-Owned Small Business with a corporate
office and warehouse facility in Gainesville, GA. Established in 1994,
KTC is an authorized distributor for over 300 tool and industrial supply
manufacturers. KTC is committed to providing industrial quality tools
of all types to business, industry, and government agencies. KTC has
been assisting the U.S. military transform and modernize to meet their
critical requirements both domestically and overseas for over ten years.
Today the core of KTC business, and the area in which we are most proud,
is our support to the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen of our
United States Armed Forces
With an eye to the future and in support of the transformation and modernization effort, quickly became an industry leader
specialized in the configuration, assembly, management and sustainment
of tool systems, sets and kits that increase productivity, efficiency
and standardization. KTC understands that the successful accomplishment
of every mission is linked to one or more sets, kits, or outfits (SKOs)
containing the soldier's tools of the trade. SKOs are force multipliers
that allow the Soldier, Sailors, Marines and Airmen of our Armed Forces
to perform individual tasks such as assembly, operation, maintenance,
repair, packing and lighting. Kipper is focused on finding and
providing the tool, SKO, or special equipment needs for each customer
and we take great pride in ensuring the right fit, form and function of
every set we produce.
In 1995, the U.S. Army School of Engineers at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, requested that
KTC assist in upgrading outdated sets, kits, and outfits (SKO). The
result of the SKO upgrade proved to be quite a positive advancement for
the Army Engineers. New and modernized SKOs, like the Carpenter Platoon
Kit and the Pioneer Land Clearing (Bobcat) Kit, have repeatedly proven
that the use of state-of-the-art tools can accelerate the accomplishment
of missions. KTC has received numerous awards and commendations from
combat commands for the proven capability of these systems.
KTC is working diligently with both the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM -
Fort Lee) and Product Manager, Sets, Kits Outfits and Tools ( PM SKOT-
Rock Island) to continuously improve and upgrade the quality of
existing components and consistency of products, and to improve mobility
and provide enhancements for rapid inventory and accountability of kit
components. As a result, Kipper has received 2 of the largest contract
awards the US Army has ever made to a Woman-Owned Small Business for our
General Mechanics Tool Kit and the new Standard Automotive Tool Set.
The KTC - General Mechanics Tool Kit (GMTK) is the cornerstone of the SKO
program. The GMTK is one of the military's principal required tool
systems and Kipper has fielded over 57,000 of the GMTK in service
today. When redesigning the tool box for the GMTK, the Kipper
configuration revolutionized the SKO approach. After rigorous testing
and proven on-the-job reliability, the KTC GMTK System can be found in
the hands of the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen of our Armed
Forces around the world today. KTC also provides
a number of SKO through the General Services Administration and the
Defense Logistics Agency for management and distribution throughout the
Department of Defense.
The Standard Automotive Tool Set (SATS) contract was awarded to KTC in May of 2004.
SATS is replacing the large outdated Organizational Direct Support and
General Support Tool Kits known as the "SHOP EQUIPMENT, AUTOMOTIVE
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR: ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE, COMMON NO.1" with supplements. In order to provide
SATS to the US Army, Kipper has teamed with AAR Mobility System to
provide a state of the art mobile tool shelter. SATS is constructed
with all the benefits of the GMTK but on a much larger scale. It is
engineered in three modules to meet the need of each level of
maintenance.
To meet the
needs of its growing government customer base KTC recently moved its
headquarters into a new 300,000 square foot facility. The new facility
provides necessary space for the continuous expansion of the Kipper
Companies which includes Kipper Tool Company and Kipper Technologies,
Kipper Media, and Kipper Logistics Systems International, and our 16,000
square foot walk-in retail store.
KTC proudly
supports America's Force and champions the ideal of "Made in the USA". |
