The Kipper Pioneer Land Clearing & Building Erection Set provides tools and equipment for construction engineer squads to perform land clearing and building erection tasks. The Tool Set is uniquely configured to support the wide variety of horizontal and vertical tasks above, below and at ground level. It contains a mixture of tools specifically chosen to accomplish expected land clearing and building erection/construction tasks by squad members without supplement by other tool sets. It specifically supports hand construction and emplacement of obstacles, barb wire entanglements and fighting positions facility, port, LOC and airfield construction and rehabilitation site clearing, layout and clean-up timber construction, rigging and rappelling and site drainage. It increases squad productivity and increases the range of tasks that can be undertaken.

The Tool Set comes with impact resistant, weatherproof plastic cases. Fabric bags are also provided to distribute the tool load, enhancing modularity and deployability in smaller than squad sized elements, making construction engineers a most valued participant in every operation - from initial entry to winning the hearts and minds of the local populace.

Construction engineer squads are typically assigned missions to be accomplished without supporting heavy, mechanical engineer equipment, so the set must contain the tools to accomplish site clearance, layout, construction, rehabilitation, emplace, and/or demolish the full array of facilities required for theater operations. Construction engineers are currently trained to use the tools in this set during initial entry training.
